If meaning is inherently an aspect of consciousness and physicalism deems consciousness to be an inconsequential product of the physical world. Then, idealism holds more promise as a meaningful worldview. Indeed, we find interpersonal relationships and our self-identity meaningful, which are, first and foremost, in the realm of consciousness; meaning is the remit of minds rather than things.
